The main objective of this study visit was to learn how Mondragon University implements the Dual model across its different faculties. The focus was placed on the experiences of faculty members, which allowed participants to identify and share both the challenges and the facilitators present in different models. The visit began with a presentation by Jon Altuna, who spoke about the origins and identity of Mondragon University, as well as the role of the Dual model within it. In the morning, the Faculty of Business Studies presented the myGADE degree. Estibaliz Hernández offered an overview of the program, followed by a round table with Siv Bermeosolo, María Elosegui, and Aitor Pérez. Their experiences and roles were the central focus, and the session also included time for questions from the audience. After lunch, the spotlight shifted to the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences. Idoia Astigarraga, coordinator of the Audiovisual Communication degree, introduced the program, after which another round table was held with Txema Egaña, Mertxe Uzkudun, and Julen Iglesias. Sharing these three experiences proved to be highly enriching and helpful for the DUALBA project. The day started with a session involving DUALBA project partners, where they reviewed the work carried out so far, addressed doubts, and defined the next steps. Afterwards, participants visited the Bilbao AS Fabrik building. The program continued with a lecture by Marixe Ruiz de Austri, from LANKI, who spoke about cooperatives and the cooperative movement, providing participants with a deeper understanding of Mondragon University’s context and mission. To conclude the morning, Iñigo Larrea gave a presentation on the Mondragon Corporation. In the afternoon, the focus turned to the Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences with Teresa de Juan, where participants learned about the faculty’s structure and ways of working. On the final day, members of the Faculty of Engineering Josu Galarza, Mikel Ezkurra, and David Alonso de Mezquia explained how the Dual model is structured and organized within their engineering programs. This was followed by a round table led by Leire Markuerkiaga who shared their personal experiences. The visit concluded with a session by Eva Fernández from UNIBASQ, who explained the requirements, accreditations, and quality aspects related to the Dual model. The visit was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences. The insights gained will support the Albanian partners in shaping their own Dual education model within the framework of the DUALBA project.
