In the period from 13-17 April, a study visit to Graz was organized, within the framework of WP2. The aim of the visit was to investigate the best practices in EU Member States and third countries associated with the Programme regarding dual education.
The first day of the DUALBA study visit was an insightful introduction to Dual Education within the Austrian education system. We began with a thorough PTO process that set the tone for the event. Participants engaged in a dynamic workshop focusing on students’ experiences with dual approaches and cooperation through education. It was amazing to hear firsthand accounts and insights from students, showcasing the impact of Dual Education. Participants from 18 different higher education institutions, business partners and institutions engaged in a collaborative atmosphere to enhance Dual Higher Education.
Day two represented a significant step towards integrated education with the labor market, showcasing experiences within the EU4DUAL initiative. We discussed the Dual Higher Education system and how it can be effectively applied in Albania, focusing on the possibilities for exchanging ideas about existing programs.
The topic of internships was addressed in detail, emphasizing the planning of modules in relation to dual education. Successful partnerships with companies were highlighted as a model for success. Additionally, we conducted a brief visit to Siemens Mobility, where we witnessed firsthand the collaboration between higher education and industry.
Last day marked another insightful day for the DUALBA Study Visit, beginning with our arrival at SSI SCHÄFER, one of the leading companies in the logistics field. Our itinerary featured a guided tour that provided participants with valuable insights into the company’s operations. Throughout the tour, we observed a variety of processes and cutting-edge technologies utilized in logistics. Engaging discussions and questions arose regarding the real-world applications of our studies, further enriching our learning experience. We were fortunate to have alumni Stefan Zink share his journey within the Dual Study program, highlighting the benefits and opportunities this educational path offers. This visit not only served as a learning experience but also created a vital connection to practical industry experiences that can significantly shape future careers.
